REQUIREMENTS

Sustrans required a cost efficient method of removing vegetation from a brick arched bridge so that the bridge could be inspected.

SOLUTION

RARR ltd were tasked by Sustrans to remove vegetation from all parts of this brick arch bridge, including the wing walls, abutments and the underside of the brick span.

Roped access was chosen as the safest and most cost efficient option for this contract.

3 IRATA qualified technicians took 2 days to de-vegetate the entire structure and 1 day to complete the photographic inspection.

The cycle path above was able to remain open throughout the works.
